肯亞總統甘耶達24日宣布，首都奈洛比西門商場為期四天的恐怖攻擊事件已經結束；五名恐怖份子遭擊斃，十一人被捕。他表示，「我們是一個血可流、卻不低頭的國家。我們已經將攻擊者擊敗。」

肯亞總統表示，首都奈洛比西門購物商場攻擊事件落幕，好戰分子已被擊敗，這場攻擊造成61名平民和6名安全部隊成員喪生。肯亞總統並宣布全國舉哀3天。
