想請問有關路由器的問題

如標題 有自己google跟01爬文了
但還是不懂 我現再需要的功能是可以讓電腦上網並讓房間跟客廳這範圍都保持著WIFI
沒要跨樓層就大概2間房跟客廳的大小範圍內連的到WIFI
家裡目前是用中華電信的數據機 打算購買路由器↓(目前參考這台不打算太貴夠用範圍夠就好,不然也可以請專業的推薦)TP-LINK TL-WR740N

想問的是買了路由器數據機還要裝嗎?還是就可以取代讓電腦上網同時分享著wifi讓手機上網?
還是必須數據機跟路由器同時使用?可以稍微講的比較簡的一點嗎 謝謝
