盜公款還燒使館日前外務省職員認罪

31歲的日本前外務省職員山田真也，2012年9月到2013年6月，利用擔任剛果大使館會計之便，盜用現金約2千萬日圓(約台幣540萬元)，還放火燒了大使館，今天東京地方法院初次開庭，山田承認，「全部都是我做的。」

檢方指出，山田1個人管理金庫鑰匙，抵達剛果以後，連日泡在賭場，因為輸錢，動念盜領公款，「為掩飾盜用的罪行，甚至不惜縱火。」日本駐剛果使館約220平方公尺被燒毀。

辯護律師說，「被告到國外工作壓力沉重，到賭場紓壓，因精神緊張到極限，終致縱火。」外務省調查發現，山田也向其他幾位同事借錢，今年1月已將他免職。
