根據媒體報導，中國大陸駐馬來西亞大使黃惠康表態，中國反對大馬與台灣簽FTA，對此經濟部長杜紫軍強調，台灣跟其他國家談判自由貿易協定或其他經濟合作協議，「不需經過對岸同意」。

他表示，對岸會嘗試用政治力影響我們對手國，因此才會一直強調，要跟對岸保持和平友好，拓展區域整合的阻力就會將到最低。
